Hey Emily & Elijah!

Let’s Talk

Wedding!

A smiling young man with dark hair and a goatee, wearing a black suit and tie, holding a camera, standing by an old window with peeling paint in a dimly lit room.

Hi Emily & Elijah,

Thank you so much for sharing your heart and vision with me — I loved hearing about everything you’re planning, and I’m excited to be considered to help tell your story.

You mentioned wanting a photo and video team that blends in, capturing the day as it naturally unfolds. That documentary style is exactly where my heart is, and this proposal is built around that: real moments, honest emotion, and your people — not poses or perfection.

From your getting ready moments to the first touch, the walk down the aisle, and the energy of your reception entrance — it’s clear that what matters most isn’t the “content,” but how everything feels. And I’m here for that. I also love how personal your celebration will be — from the board games during cocktail hour to the bond you clearly have with your family (four sisters as bridesmaids says a lot 💛).

This proposal is designed to give you the space and coverage to be present, soak it all in, and know that the little moments — like the way your parents look at you during that first touch, or the crowd cheering as you enter the reception — will be preserved for years to come.

Take your time looking through everything. If one of the options feels right, I can send over the contract to officially lock things in. And of course, I’m always here for any questions or tweaks.

What You Can Expect with Josh Hill Films

The day flies by. We make sure it lasts forever.

When you invite me into your wedding day, you’re not hiring someone to show up and press record. You’re choosing a storyteller. A calm presence. Someone who knows when to step in, when to step back, and how to capture the in-between moments—the squeeze of a hand, the tear you tried to hide, the way your person looked at you when you weren’t looking.

My approach is intentional, relational, and rooted in trust. I take time to understand your story so I can film it in a way that feels honest—not overdone, not underwhelming—just real, emotional, and timeless.

From the first call to the final delivery, you can expect an experience that’s…

✦ Personal

I don’t use a one-size-fits-all formula. I tailor how I film to fit you—your priorities, your personalities, your pace. That way, your film feels like a reflection of your story, not just a recap of your day.

✦ Professional

I bring experience, preparation, and intention to every wedding. You can count on clear communication, prompt responses, and a thoughtful process that keeps things easy and enjoyable from start to finish.

✦ Present

You won’t find me shouting directions or over-directing your day. I know when to give gentle guidance and when to let the moment unfold naturally—because the best moments aren’t staged, they’re lived.

I’m not just here to deliver a highlight reel. I’m here to preserve what it felt like.

Because your wedding day will go by in a blur—but the right film lets you go back and live it all again.

The Story Behind Josh Hill Films

For me, this all started with a simple idea:
I need pictures so the memory lasts longer.

At first, it was just snapping photos on my phone—nothing fancy, just moments I didn’t want to forget. A funny expression. A quiet walk. A feeling I wanted to hold onto. Eventually, I picked up a real camera, and something clicked. I realized I didn’t just want to save memories for myself—I wanted to help other people hold onto theirs, too.

That’s how Josh Hill Films began.

Now, years later, I’m still driven by that same intention. But the meaning has only deepened—especially after becoming a dad to my daughter, Hazel. She’s shown me that the most precious moments aren’t always the perfectly posed ones. It’s the chaos. The calm. The ordinary things that turn out to be everything.

And right now? I’m also in the thick of planning my own wedding.

That experience has shaped how I show up for my couples more than anything else. I know how much time, thought, and emotion you’re pouring into this day. I know what it’s like to want everything to be meaningful, personal, and right—without getting overwhelmed by all the moving parts.

So I built Josh Hill Films around what I’d want for myself:
Clear communication. A calm, supportive presence. And a film that brings the day back to life—not just how it looked, but how it felt.

Because this isn’t just about one day. It’s about creating a legacy of love and memory you’ll carry for the rest of your life.
