It was so good talking with you today, Jessica. I loved hearing how your story started, one class together in college, a few years apart, and then Ty finally sliding into your DMs until it stuck. Three years in, the way you describe it, steady, intentional, and easy, that is the kind of love that is a joy to tell. And that proposal, a whole short film made just for you, the credits asking you to marry him, and you, of all people in media, still not seeing it coming, that might be one of my favorite stories I have heard.
What stayed with me most was when you said the moment that matters above everything is the two of you confessing your love in front of the people who will hold you to it, and the guests feeling like they are walking into your story. A soft, quiet frame with your mom is one I will be watching for all day. I want this to feel timeless, the kind of film and gallery that could just as easily be from 2013 as it is from next year, something true to color that you can frame around the house and hand down one day.
Whether you land on the Wimbish House or the DeKalb courthouse, both are beautiful canvases, and I have shot at both, so we will be ready for whatever the light does. About the Story Session
Think of it as a photo and video engagement session. We meet up before the wedding, just the two of you and the camera, and we spend an hour getting Ty comfortable on film so that by your wedding day the camera already feels familiar. Beyond that, it is a chance to tell the story of how you two met and fell in love, the one class in college and the DMs that finally stuck, included. That backstory adds something to the wedding film that no highlight reel can manufacture, it gives the people watching a real sense of who you are before the vows even start.
