It was so good talking with you today. I got off that call already picturing the day, which does not always happen the first time around.
You both told me the same thing, which does not happen as often as you would think. The Mass is the most important part. Perla, you are already planning to bring in the priest your mom knows and pull the choirs in from your other churches, which tells me exactly how much of you is going into that hour. Daniel, you said you could get married at the church around the corner with just the two families and be completely happy, because the sacrament is the point and the party is the celebration of it. A full Catholic Mass has its own rhythm and it does not pause for anyone holding a camera, so knowing what is coming next is most of the job. I film the ceremony in full, start to finish.
You also told me what you want these to become. Photographs on the walls of the first home you live in together, an album with real printed pages, and a film you sit down and watch with your kids and one day your grandkids. That is a very different goal than a gallery you scroll through once, and it changes what I am looking for all day.
You told me about Daniel's brother's wedding, where the photographer and the videographer came from the same company and still spent the day getting in each other's way, obviously enough that you could see it from inside the bridal party. And about the wedding in Colombia where a dozen people with cameras stood between the family and the first kiss. Those are the same problem. Nobody decided in advance who was covering what. Here nobody is competing. We plan the day together, we cover it together, you deal with one person instead of two, and we stay out of your family's line of sight while we do it.
What I am watching for all day is the in between. Perla, you said the morning with your bridesmaids is the part you already know you will want back in ten years. The friend who laughed so hard she had to sit down. The thing somebody does that you will still be bringing up at Christmas. Those happen once and they do not wait for a camera to get into position, so I stay ahead of the day instead of chasing it.
The other half of the job is how the day feels while it is happening. You should not feel managed. Most of the time you will forget we are there. When you do need direction I will give it to you gently, and you will look like yourselves, not like people being posed. My goal is that you get to the end of the night having actually been at your own wedding instead of running it.
You also told me the family photos at your sister's wedding worked because somebody had a system, and that once they were done the couple got pulled away for a while, just the two of them. That is exactly how I run the hour after Mass. We build the family list together beforehand, we move through it in order, and then I get the two of you out of there so you have some quiet before the reception starts.

The Home Video Edit is every clip from your day, cleaned up and put in order so it is actually watchable. Not a highlight reel and not just the big events. The full Mass, the speeches, the dances, and all the in between footage that most films leave on the cutting room floor.
It is edited to feel honest and unhurried, so years from now you are not just seeing the best moments. You are reliving the whole day. If you would rather have the raw footage to keep and do what you want with, that option is yours too.
About The Story Session
Think of it as a photo and video engagement session in one. We meet up before the wedding, just the two of you and the camera, and we spend an hour together. Part of it is practical. You told me the free shoot you did was fifteen minutes and felt random, and that you have never really had a proper session. An hour with no guests watching and no schedule does more for the wedding day than any amount of direction on the day itself. By the time April comes around, being photographed and filmed already feels normal.
The bigger part is the story. How you met, what nearly did not happen, where the two of you ended up. That backstory adds something no highlight reel can manufacture. It gives everyone watching a real sense of who you are before the ceremony even starts. Every collection includes a Story Session on a weekday. The Directors Cut includes a weekend date, and from either of the other two you can move yours to a weekend for $400.

Additional Hour of Coverage
A Catholic Saturday spreads out. Mass in the early afternoon, a gap, then a reception that goes late. An extra hour means we are never watching the clock while the night is still going.
Additional Shooter
Every collection already includes two photographers, so this is one more set of hands beyond that. In The Home Video it adds a second videographer. In The Feature Film it extends your second photographer and second videographer to all 11 hours. During the Mass it means one camera can stay on the altar while another works the aisle and your families, without anyone stepping into your guests' view. With a big guest list the day stops happening in one place. While one camera is on your faces during a toast, someone needs to be on the room reacting to it.
Video Guest Book
Already included in The Directors Cut and The Feature Film, so this is for The Home Video. With a full room, most of what your guests want to say to you will get lost in the noise. This is how you keep it, in their words, in the moment.
Weekend Story Session
Your Story Session is included either way, and on a weekday it is the easiest hour of the whole process. If a Saturday or Sunday is the only thing that works for the two of you, this moves it there. Already included in The Directors Cut.
